ASA series cars are encouraged to race in the GT America Series with the following allowances: 1 - An unmodified 2004 ASA spec engine. -or- 1a - A 2004 ASA spec engine can be modified by Tim Schwanke (800-423-6571)via the addition of an updated intake manifold, 90mm throttle body and a re-mapped computer to allow for an increase in HP. All modified ASA engines must be 'SEALED' by Tim Schwanke. 2 - A 15 gallon ASA 2004 approved fuel cell 3 - All cars must meet 2006 SCCA safety regulations 4 - All cars must use the 2006 "spec" GTA race tire. 5 - All ASA cars must adhere to the 2006 GTA rule concerning shock absorbers. 6 - All ASA cars must adhere to the GTA specifications regarding weight percentages and total vehicle weight. |
