2010 GTA RULES!
|
|
Description:
|
The 2010 Rules are identical to the 2006, 2005 Rules, there are no changes. Why mess up a good thing?
Please read the entire rule package and not the new rule changes designed to better allow the GTA cars to race within the Trans Am Series! (( DOWNLOAD THE 2006-05 RULES VIA THE FILE AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE.))
The 2005 rules allow any shock absorber that can be purchased for $250.00 retail and under as being legal.
Shock absorbers that fall within this price limit are:
Koni 30 series rebound adjustable
PRO Shocks: Pro-Lite (AC) PRO A7333-8's.
Bilstein shock models: GN, GN2.
NOT LEGAL are: Bilstein shock models: GN3 or GNA.
Also approved are Carrera shock series:
3200, 3300, 6200, 6300, 6100, 8100 and 9100 models.
The 2003 rules are now available for $15.00 each by mail. Or they will be posted FOC on this web-page before December 30, 2002.
Special note: Competitors have asked which front clip from HOWE RACING is legal for GTA. The HOWE Racing front clip(s) as used in ASA racing are legal for the GTA series. This includes the '358A', the 'XL' as well as the all new 'M' designs. However, please note that the vehicle's track width is limited to 60.25 +/- .25 inches total.
Information from Chaz Howe of HOWE Racing indicates that although the new 'M' front clip is very different from the original 358A and XL designs the actual suspension geometry is the same. The new design allows one to more easily change the shock/springs which the ASA competitors tend to do more frequently than does the GTA competitors. Further information from our East Coast GTA competitors note that the new 'M'
design has NOT proven to be quicker than the original '358A' design. As most of the front-running competitors continue to use the '358A' design on the East Coast.
